Michele Gillen was a well-known investigative reporter in South Florida, a fixture on CBS-owned station WFOR-TV Channel 4, for 19 years. Her investigative reports brought changes, including her 2006 investigation into inhuman conditions at the Miami-Dade County Jail. Over the years, she won more than three dozen local Emmy awards for her reports. But Gillen was bounced out at WFOR -- a move that ended her nearly 40 year career in television. Her dismissal came after more than two years of bullying treatment and hostile workplace conditions at the station. Gillen sued CBS last year, alleging age and gender discrimination.
