L to R are:
Carole Chapuis- Founder of Pet Haven and Michelle Bingham, SFWC Bunny Adoption Co-ordinator at the new cage free bunny house at Pet Haven.
South Florida Wildlife Center has recently lost funding for its domestic animals. As a result it will only provide services for wildlife programs. SFWC acquired the bunnies in in various surrender and neglect cases. The bunnies in their care had no place to call home until Pet Haven in Loxahatchee, Florida offered to help. The twenty-one bunnies were transported on leap day from a cage environment to that of freedom. They will enjoy a bunny house and spacious yard. Once acclimated to their new environment for several months the bunnies will continue their freedom hop to a bunny sanctuary in Jamestown, RI where they will live out their lives.
